I woke up at 6 am with a stomach ache and couldn't fall back to sleep. I fell asleep before 1 am so I got some well rested sleep. It's all good.

Music, TV, movies and Broadway notes:
01.) After re-listening to The New Pornographers new album, Challengers, I have to say this: The New Pornographers album >>>>>>>> Rilo Kiley album. :| I love the new Rilo Kiley album, I do, but The New Pornographers album is a consistently more awesome album. I actually enjoy all of the songs instead of skipping to my favourites, like I have already started to do with Under The Blacklight. :( And MTG just gave me zips of both albums! I ♥ him!!!

02.) I'm still shocked about Kristen Bell being added to the Heroes cast. I don't know how I honestly feel about it yet. I LOVED Veronica Mars, but I was getting annoyed at the end there. Nothing to do with Kristen Bell's acting or anything, but with how the show was turning out as a whole. Maybe seeing her in something not related to VM will help. I hope so.

03.) I got my copy of EW's Fall Movie Preview issue last Friday. REESE! I don't care what others say about her, I adore her. I have adored her since I saw Freeway way back when. Then Pleasantville came out (I ADORE THAT MOVIE MORE THAN IS HEALTHY) and that pretty much cemented my love for her and Tobey Maguire (I love how Tobey Maguire was in a small scene in Reese Witherspoon's horrible movie, S.F.W.!). I'm not keen on all of her movies, mind, but she is overall one of my favourite actresses. I can't wait to see what her new movie, Rendition, with Meryl Streep will be like. Meryl Streep is another favourite of mine.

Fall movie rambling:
01.) I saw previews for The Kingdom on the front of Alpha Dog. Back in January. When a movie gets pushed back, I start to wonder the reason behind it. They must of screened the movie and it didn't go well. Or something. I love Jason Bateman, Chris Cooper and Jennifer Garner so, who knows, maybe it will be great. (Trailer)

02.) Across the Universe is either going to be a total visual orgasm or the reason so many people go blind. It's a toss-up. (Trailer)

03.) Another Jesse James movie (could the title be any longer?), eh? I'm thinking Brad Pitt will play him a bit better than Colin Farrell. Or maybe not, the article says that the film was suppose to be ready last fall, yet they're premiering it at the Venice Film Festival this year, which starts on the 29th of this month, and they still haven't finished it. That doesn't sit well with me. I wonder how the defeat of Jesse James scenes will go. I remember going down to Northfield for the Jesse James Days every year as a child. It was so much fun watching the reenactment! (Teaser trailer)

04.) I really want to see December Boys.
"Says Radcliffe, "I had to do something different before the Potter films ended, rather than trying to break away after they're done." Mission accomplished."
Smart kid, that Daniel Radcliffe. (Trailer)

05.) Keira Knightley needs to balance the period films with a healthy amount of modern films. I know she has done some, but it seems that all she has been doing lately is period films. And she is only so-so at convincing me that she is believable in those period films. Ugh. Silk comes out before Atonement (which I think will rock because of James McAvoy alone!), but both are period pieces. Meh. (Silk trailer, Atonement trailer)

06.) I obviously don't pay that much attention to film development news because I had no idea that Russell Crowe and Christian Bale were in a movie together. And in a cowboy remake movie no less. (3:10 to Yuma) :D (Trailer)

07.) I saw the trailer for Lust, Caution when I saw Becoming Jane. It is such a beautiful trailer.

08.) The cast is awesome (Tommy Lee Jones, Susan Sarandon and Charlize Theron), but Paul Haggis is usually hit or miss isn't he? In the Valley of Elah is a war movie. To be frank, I'm getting pretty sick of war and political movies, but this one supposedly explores the question of "What is the hidden human cost" to wars? Could be interesting. Paul Haggis only hopes that debates and arguments come from walking out of one of his movies. Hahaha, he certainly got that from Crash. Only thing, most people seemed to have bickered more about the film itself than that of the premise of it. (Trailer)

09.) Is The Jane Austen Book Club going to be this years Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Blah-Blah? And what is with the surge of Jane Austen love lately? Granted, it's only been this and Becoming Jane but, with the film version of Pride & Prejudice in 2005, I don't know, it just seems there is too much Jane Austen luurve lately. :\ Nothing wrong with it, just curious. (Trailer)

    10.) BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
"While making Shoot 'Em Up-about an enigmatic gunslinger (Owen) who happens upon a newborn baby he must protect from a royally pissed off Giamatti and his goons-writer-director Davis discovered that American infants are, like, total slackers. "In L.A., you can only have a baby in front of the lens for a half hour, total, an entire day," says Davis, who's making his studio-movie debut. "But up in Toronto [where we filmed], the babies could work for eight hours, in front of the camera 15 minutes, [then] 20 minutes off. We had twins, [so] basically we could have a live baby whenever we wanted.'"
♥ Canada FTW!!!! Shoot 'Em Up. (Trailer)

11.) Jessica Alba's wooden acting is going to ruin Good Luck Chuck. However, Dane Cook is touch and go for me anyway, so maybe the movie will suck on its own accord. Heh. (Trailer)

12.) Before I saw the preview on the front of Hairspray last month, I honestly had no freaking clue that they were making a squeal to Elizabeth. I don't know about this, it looks too.... modernly polished, whereas the original looked authentic. However, it's Cate Blanchett back in a role she was amazing in (she was totally robbed of the Oscar!). I know I'll be seeing this in the theatre for sure. And I will definitely have to re-watch Elizabeth first. (Trailer)

13.) Ben Stiller annoys me. I don't know if that is an unpopular opinion or not, but there is something about him that just bugs me. There are few movies of his that I enjoy. The Heartbreak Kid looks like a regurgitated version of all his past raunchy comedies. I think I will pass. (Trailer)

14.) I have a confession. I have not seen one of Wes Anderson film. Oh, wait, I lie, I have seen The Life Aquatic. Er, I think I've seen all of it, anyway. I've meant to watch his movies, but I never seem to get around to it. I had my friend's copy of The Royal Tenenbaums for a month and never sat down to watch it. >_> Anyway, The Dajeeling Limited sounds interesting enough. :) (Trailer)

15.) Josh Hartnett starring in a movie about vampires two months before Will Smith will do it better in I Am Legend? Hahahahaha. I mean, okay. However, I read that 30 Days of Night is based on a "spine-chilling" graphic novel. I might have to check it out. (Trailer)

16.) I WILL SEE THE NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS IN 3-D IF IT KILLS ME!!!!!!! I love that movie! One of my ex-Crapmike co-workers and I gave each other the special edition DVD for Christmas one year. Hahahahha, we are dorks, yes.

17.) I will always watch anything that stars Steve Carell so I'm all over Dan in Real Life!!!!! BONUS? NORBERT LEO BUTZ IS IN IT!!!!!!!!!!! That was the most surprising thing for me when I watched the trailer!!!!!!!!! I ♥ that man!

18.) We Own The Night has Mark Wahlberg and Joaquin Phoenix teaming up again, this time as brothers!! I have to re-watch The Yards because I honestly don't remember if I liked it or not. LOL. Nice. (Trailer)

19.) Lars and the Real Girl sounds like my kind of movie! If Ryan Gosling wasn't in it, I think any actor would have treated this movie like an oddball comedy instead of how the filmmakers are hoping it will become, a (warped) heartwarming love story. I have nothing but love for the trailer!!!!!

20.) Jude Law and Michael Caine starring, with Kenneth Branagh directing? Yes, please, Sleuth. (Trailer)

21.) Mark Ruffalo and Joaquin Phoenix in Reservation Road is going to be good, I think. (Trailer)

22.) ENCHANTED, EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!! I am a bit peeved they don't mention the hilarity that is James Marsden, though. They only mention him in passing, during the description of the film. Come on, he is the BEST THING about the trailer!!!! I mean, just look:

    (Trailer!!!)

23.) I really hope August Rush is amazing instead of just another great idea wrapped up in an average feel-good, romantic comedy movie. But even if it does turn out to be that, I might like it.(Trailer)

24.) I love how 6 or so different actors will be playing Bob Dylan in I'm Not There!!! I hope this movie is full of win. Because I don't know if I want to read/hear the backlash that could come from it. I really want to see a trailer right about now. ETA: Saw the trailer. EEEEE!!!!!

25.) I need to still obtain a copy of the book that I Am Legend is based on, and possibly even watch the first two film incarnations of the book, but I am beyond excited to see this new movie with Will Smith!!!! (Trailer!)

26.) I don't know about The Golden Compass. I haven't read the book series, but that shouldn't stop me from seeing the movie. I don't know, I guess I think the children book series being turned into movies is getting old. Hollywood likes to ruin a good idea into the ground. Too much of a good thing turns people off after awhile. And too much of a good thing can lower the quality of something when the good idea is being churned out every damn second. There is no need to rush, the books will still be there for adaptation in 10 years. They're not going anywhere, trust me. So just chillax, Hollywood, and, please, find more original screenwriters, because remaking and adapting other stuff is fast becoming bland. (Trailer)

27.) This is fast becoming long so other December movies I want to see are: Leatherheads, Sweeney Todd (!!!!!), There Will Be Blood, Atonement, and Walk Hard (trailer).

05.) I want to live in NYC and see all the Broadway I can. *is listening to Wicked for the trillionth time* I need to get my hands on so many other Broadway soundtracks, especially the soundtracks of the musicals that I will be seeing this year!!!!
