I already know this to be true, but life moves on after vacations, no matter how much your mind rebels. Sad but so very true.

Moving on...

List of six for Early Wednesday, 20 September 2007:
01.) First day of second job went great last night. I ushered for the Steve Vai concert. The fan base is an experience, let me tell ya! My supervisors and co-workers are awesome and laid back, which is right up my alley! :D :D I couldn't ask for anything better. I work again this Saturday (at both jobs). Getting to take the light rail for this second job is FUN!!! :)

02.) I'm watching The Professional right now. Man, I haven't watched it in ages! I love this movie. I always forget how hot Gary Oldman is in it.

03.) I am almost caught up on Heroes. I bought a portable DVD player the night before I left for ACL (along with a camera case that I kept forgetting to buy) so I would have something to do on my five hour layover in Memphis and on the car ride down to Austin from Dallas (and back again on Sunday). Watching anything on the car ride was not plausible because I was damn tired and slept most of the time both ways. I might have to re-watch the episodes I did get to watch because I managed to sit right by the engines on all the planes I rode. Not a big deal, I love the show, I'll probably be watching them numerous times. I just need to finish catching up before next week. My #1 wish: That Heroes does NOT fall under the curse of the Sophomore Slump. *crosses fingers*

In other TV news: While in Dallas, MTG let me watch the pilot to Californication. It was good. But, I am already behind on so much old and new television though that I don't know when I will watch the other episodes. :(

04.) I want! It will be a nice companion for my Buffy series boxed set! Ooooooooooooh, I WANT THIS ONE, TOO, EVEN IF THE LAST TWO SEASONS BLEW MONKEY BALLS!!!! I also want the Queer as Folk series set, too. I hope Oz gets a series set sometime in the future, too. Eeee, too much tv boxed set goodness!!! I still haven't bought Supernatural's 2nd season set yet. Woe.

05.) After seeing The National perform at ACL this past weekend, I am going to see them again later tonight. I can't wait!!!!! Rest of September concerts/events schedule is as follows.

    9/20 - The National
    9/21 - Ani DiFranco
9/23 - Guthrie Night: The Home Place
    9/24 - Peter, Bjorn & John
9/26 - Broadway: The Wedding Singer
    9/27 - Ryan Adams
    9/30 - Arcade Fire/ LCD Soundsystem
Fun stuff!!!!

06.) Instead of going to bed on Monday night, after making my last entry, I went over to Bitch's place and he made me watch the horrible Freddy Got Fingered and the slightly less crappy Boat Trip. We started Office Space, but I fell asleep because needing sleep finally caught up with me. This is the second time I tried watching Office Space only to fall asleep halfway through because of lack of sleep. Back in 2004, on Election day, we had gone over to Bitch's place, after watching a few movies at Crapmike after we closed, we made cheeseburgers and watched more movies. It was 6am when we had put in Office Space. So, yeah. From what I have seen, I have loved, but I never manage to get around to watching the rest of the movie. One of these days, I swear.

On the 11th/12th, Bitch and I stayed up until 3 or 4am watching movies. We only watched two because we started The Black Dahlia, but I was complaining about being so utterly bored senseless that he took it out after the first half hour (or possibly before that). LOL. I told him I have this year long goal of watching 100 movies I've never seen before (I'm close to 70 right now) so he should have left it in but he wouldn't listen to me. Sigh. Then we spent another good half hour going through his DVDs and adding to the "Wenchie-poo hasn't seen all of this yet" pile. Oy. Anyway, we watched National Treasure and Borat instead. I was getting kinda sleepy during the beginning of National Treasure (because of a busy day) but I ended up liking it well enough. Bitch said I had to watch it before the sequel comes out this winter so that is out of the way now. Borat was....interesting. It had some funny moments, yes, but I was kinda disgusted to be an American after I watched it. Heh.

Later today, after I get off work at Noon, Bitch and I are thinking about spending time at Crapmike using his neglected season pass. YAY, I can't wait!!!! Maybe we'll finally get around to watching Hairspray together!!!

I have to work at the cafe in the morning so I probably should hit the sack.
