YAYES and BOO!

dancingstellaI had such a nice day off yesterday, and was planning on enjoying another one today, but was roped into working because a) when a co-worker is sick, one should help out and b) I need the money. So, yeah, there was no chillaxing at home for me today. I shouldn't be bitching, next month is looking horribly bare from both jobs. :( Next goal: Get a FT job, STAT!
The YAYES:
I've been trying to get back into my movie whore ways by trying to watch 100 movies that I've never seen before in a year.
Right now, I stand at 89 movies watched. 30 of which were watched at a movie theatre. WOOT! I'm so proud of myself. Since quitting Crapmike three years ago, I hardly ever go to the movie theatre anymore. This saddens me, so getting to the theatre as much as I can has been another goal of mine. I'm getting there, I'm getting there. :D
I have more than 11 never-before-seen movies at my disposal right now (we finally got a DVR back in October). And there are 3 days left of 2007. I am so kicking this list in the butt!
Sidenote #1: I am probably going to watch more than 100 movies because there are two or so on my list that are made-for-TV-type films/docs, and I guess I consider that cheating, in a way.
Sidenote #2: I finally - FINALLY - watched my BTA movies, Art School Confidential and The Last Kind of Scotland, that I have had since September. Jeesh, I have gotten pathetically slow in watching movies.
The BOO:
I have to usher a concert on New Year's Eve. This depresses me because it has been tradition in my house for years to stay in, eat Chinese and watch movies on New Year's Eve. I don't want to work. I especially don't want to work downtown and be polite to drunk people. *headwall*
That is all. I'm off to watch another movie before I have to rest up for another day at the cafe tomorrow, then tomorrow night is for spending time with my father and his side of the family for a late Xmas! :)
